LAHORE, July 1: Maids took away jewellery worth millions from the house of cricketer Kamran Akmal while robbers looted the house of a retired air force officer in Defence Housing Authority on Sunday.

Newly-hired maids stole 40 tola gold ornaments from the house of Kamran Akmal who said the family was busy in Umra tour. Defence A police registered a case.

Some robbers barged into the house of Illyas Baig in Defence Housing Authority and took away cash, jewellery, laptops, watches, seven cell phones and a jeep all worth Rs5.5 million.
