KARACHI, June 27: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed all field offices to remain open till late evening for the last three days of the current fiscal closing on June 30, 2012.

According to the FBR notice, all model customs collectors, large taxpayers units, regional tax offices and tax facilitation centres will remain open up to 8pm on Thursday and Friday. However, on Saturday June 30, 2012 these offices will stay open till mid-night up to 10pm. The extended working hours for field offices of the FBR has been made to facilitate trade and industry in getting their cargo cleared from imports and exports and for receiving of returns and payment of duty and taxes.
