NOWADAYS TV viewers often watch an attractive USAID advertisement presenting a beautiful and attractive picture of ‘Roshan Pakistan’ where the Americans and Pakistanis together are spreading education.
On behalf of the Americans, the USAID is helping the access to quality of education by funding universities scholarships, reconstructing schools and supporting training of teachers, energy, economic growth, health, stabilisation, cross-cutting, humanitarian assistance programmes.
No doubt, this scenario presents a handsome offer for the poor people of Pakistan because it is a developing country having a lot of economical, social, educational problems.
Every Pakistani knows that thousands of their people have been killed and injured in drone attacks by America. Thousands have lost their families, children and businesses. But the government here is unable to solve this issue yet.
America creates problems for Pakistan, while it also offers aid. The question is: has this aid ever spent on a common Pakistani?
Japan took the same US aid, used it properly and became a superpower. India took the aid from the US and became a rising power by using it in the most profitable fashion. Same is the case with South Korea, Germany and Russia. Why can’t Pakistan do so?
