SHAHEED-I-MILLAT Liaquat Ali Khan served as the prime minister for four years one month and one day.

Yousuf Raza Gilani had claimed that he was the longest-serving prime minister of Pakistan, having served for four years two months and two days.

At the time apparently the claim was true. Many expensive advertisements were placed in all the newspapers of the country, telling all and sundry who was the longest-serving prime minister of Pakistan.

The Supreme Court later through a historic judgment disqualified Gilani from holding a seat in the parliament from the date of his conviction on April 26. This resulted in Liaquat Ali Khan still the longest-serving prime minister of Pakistan.

At whose expenses were the advertisements published? The people should know about this. Who will now pay the bills for all the advertisements stating that Gilani was the longest-serving prime minister?

I hope they will not be poor taxpayers like me.
