Priority will be given to resolving energy crisis: Ashraf

KARACHI:Newly elected Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said that the PPP government does not want any confrontation with any institutions and claimed it will complete the constitutional term with the help of all coalition partners.

He said that in order to strengthen parliament they will try to bring opposition back on the track.

Talking to the media after offering prayers in Garhi Khuda Bux on Sunday, Ashraf said he has been elected as prime minister under the philosophy of Bhuttoism.

He said that after Yousuf Raza Gilani, people thought democracy will be affected but it has been proved false.

Ashraf said that priority will be given to resolving the energy crisis and maintenance of law and order in the country for which he has held a meeting on the very first day and has directed the concerned authorities to minimize line losses and electricity theft.
