UPPER DIR, June 22: Two soldiers and five militants were killed when security forces repulsed an attack by terrorists on a check-post in tehsil Barawal of Upper Dir district on Friday.

Sources said the militants from Afghanistan’s Kunar province attacked the checkpost in Karakar area. Five of the attackers were killed when the security forces returned fire. Two soldiers were killed in the attack.—Correspondent
