LAHORE, June 21: Over 400 Sikh pilgrims arrived at Wagah railway station from India on Thursday by a special train for participating in various events to mark the 173rd death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh.

Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) officials led by Pakistan Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee chief Sardar Sham Singh received the Sikh pilgrims at Wagah railway station. According to scheduled programme, the pilgrims stayed at Wagah in special accommodations arranged by the ETPB.

They will depart for Nanakana Sahib on Friday (today) by a special train. They will proceed for Hasanabdal on June 23 where they will visit Gurdwara Panja Sahib and stay there till June 26 (morning).

The same day, they will arrive at Gurdwara Dera Sahib in Lahore where they will attend three-day events from June 27 to 30 to mark Maharaja Ranjeet Singh’s anniversary.

The Pakistan government through the ETPB administration has done the entire lodging/boarding and travel arrangements free of cost to facilitate the Sikh pilgrims.
