LAHORE, June 21: Lahore Development Authority’s Metropolitan Wing on Thursday got registered cases against three housing schemes for violation of rules and regulations.

According to an LDA press release, the Metropolitan Wing got a case registered with Raiwind police against a housing scheme for developing plots on a piece of land without LDA’s approval.

A case was registered with Chuhng police against another housing scheme on Multan Road for illegal expansion, creation of two new blocks and their advertising.

Another case was registered with Nishtar Colony police against a scheme situated on Ferozepur Road for constructing a road on the land reserved for graveyard and providing a passage to an adjacent housing scheme that had not been approved by LDA.

AUCTION: The contract for collection of parking fee from vehicles and motorbikes at D-Point car parking plaza (Shahalam Market) was auctioned off by the LDA administration for Rs22 million for a period of two years. The auction was held at LDA Community Centre, New Muslim Town, on Thursday, a press release says.

SEALED: The Allama Iqbal Town administration and the District Environment Department on Thursday sealed two Sheesha cafes at Huma and Gulshan blocks of Allama Iqbal Town.

CATLLE: Gulberg and Nishtar Town administrations on Thursday evicted 17 cattle from various union councils.
