KARACHI: Playing their last tournament before heading to Wimbledon, Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi of Pakistan and Jean-Julien Rojer of Netherlands crashed out of the Unicef Open on Wednesday.
Qureshi and Rojer slumped after winning the first 6-3 and lose the second with a similar score. Their opponents, Benjamin Becker and Philipp Petzschner of Germany, clinched the match in the third-set tie-break 10-4.
The pair are now headed to London to participate in the Wimbledon Championships, where they have been seeded eighth by the organisers, Qureshi’s first seeding at the prestigious tournament.
