MIRPURKHAS, June 16: The body of the third victim from the drowning tragedy at Jamrao Canal was recovered on Friday evening.

Three youths drowned in the West of the canal near Jhurbi while bathing on Friday. Bodies of two youngsters were recovered earlier.

Five youngsters of Pak Colony went to the canal to cool off themselves from the scorching heat but three among them Shoukat Mughal, 18, Shehzor Shaikh, 19, and Hassan Ghori 20, lost their lives after drowning.

Bodies of Shaukat and Shehzor were recovered the same day and of Ghori the next day.

Bodies of all three were buried on Saturday.

Procession: Scores of employees of the National Commission for Human Development, including teachers took out a procession here on Saturday demanding regularisation of their services.

Carrying banners and placards and raising slogans, they marched from the railway station roundabout to the press club where they also staged a sit-in.

Leaders Mureed Khan Kolachi, Shaho Mal and Ibrar Bhurgari said that the teachers were imparting education to children in the areaswhere government school were not established or lying closed.

They said that the teachers were posted at 3,600 schools and 37,340 adult education centres in Sindh.

They threatened to widen the scope of their protest if their services were not regularised.
