Ahmed Mukhtar takes over charge of ministry of water and power

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister, Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar has assumed the charge of the ministry of water and power on Monday.

After taking over the charge, he was given briefing by the secretary and other senior officials on the affairs of the ministry. Chairman Wapda, Shakeel Durrani also called on the minister in his office and briefed him on the progress of Wapda projects.

Later, he visited all the wings of the ministry of water and power and met various staff members. During his visit to the ministry, he asked them to work hard to bring the country out of the current crises and make it prosperous.

Mukhtar is a senior parliamentarian. He was serving as defence minister and was given the portfolio of the ministry of water and power last Saturday.
