LAHORE, June 2: “Independent Lawyers Group” headed by Asma Jahangir has congratulated Supreme Court Bar Association President Yasin Azad for holding a successful conference which highlighted real issues of Balochistan province.

Addressing a meeting of the group on Saturday, Ms Jahangir said the success of the conference further built the self-esteem of the bar. Kazim Khan, Ahsan Bhoon, Azam Nazir Tarar, Qamar Zaman Qureshi, Shahzad Hassan Sheikh, Abid Saqi, Sajid Bashir, and S.M Masood attended the meeting.

The meeting participants also condemned involvement of lawyers in violent activities. They said such incidents had badly tarnished the image of the bar.
