MATLI: Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz  (PML-N) Chief Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said his party wanted to get rid of what he called ‘corrupt PPP rulers’ and demanded free, fair and transparent elections in the country.

Addressing public meeting at Matli, he said Pakistan People People's Party (PPP) had “miserably failed in fulfilling its election promises made to the people.

In fact, PPP has not honored the mandate given by the poor masses of Sindh and has absolutely no concern for alleviating their difficulties. People of the province are now unable to bear price spiral of essential commodities which are out of their reach.”

Sharif said people of Sindh who voted for the PPP were unemployed and bearing the brunt of excessive load shedding of upto 18 hours every day.

He said during devastating floods of year 2010 and heavy rains last year, millions of people in the province were rendered homeless and the PPP took no action and measures for their rehablitation.

He asked the people not to vote for PPP in the next elections.

He said the participants including women of peaceful rally taken out recently in Karachi against those conspiring for division of Sindh province were killed and injured.

PML-N chief vowed PML-N would never allow the division of Sindh.

Sharif pledged that after coming into power PML-N would make earnest efforts for the prosperity and welfare of the poor masses without any discrimination.

He said Yousuf Raza Gilani should accept the judgment of the Supreme Court and submit his resignation after being convicted in the contempt of court case as he has no right to remain in office.

The meeting was also addressed by PML-N Sindh Chief Syed Ghous Ali Shah and other party leaders.
