Fire erupts in Islamabad's Margalla hills

ISLAMABAD: Fire erupted on Margalla Hills near Bari Imam here on Tuesday, which was spreading at alarming pace.

The fire that started in the afternoon has engulfed large area and the locals were busy in extinguishing the fire.

According to the media reports, the fire had erupted in the area falling close to Bari Imam shrine, but the reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Dozens of fire-fighters and an helicopter reached the site; The firemen were able to control the fire to a certain extent but rising smoke could be seen from various parts of the hill, DawnNews reported.

During the summers most of the fire incidents have been occurred on the Margalla Hills.
