This is with reference to the insufficient parking space provided by certain commercial places within the country. These places have been built without taking into consideration the vehicles of the customers which will need to be parked for the duration of the time the driver is absent.
This causes traffic jams in the most inconvenient places and situations. Coming under the list of structures which are not feasible in terms of parking spaces are shopping malls in Gulistan-i-Jauhar and at least one supermarket in Bahadurabad, which require the buyer to park the car on the edges of the main road and cause congestion.
Private schools opened in residential areas also create the same problem. They clog traffic in the tiny streets which cause noise pollution and nuisance for the residents of the area. Another example is marriage halls, the majority of which do not have adequate parking space. The authorities concerned should take up this issue.
