Limbless Frenchman swims 20 km

Philippe Croizon, a former electrical engineer, lost the use of his limbs when he received and electrical shock of  20,000 volts, while changing a TV aerial. After  several months, doctors were forced to amputate his arms and legs. Croizon spent months in hospital and years in physical therapy. He finally returned to the world of sporting and achievement after a long battle with depression and hopelessness. – Photos by AFP
