KARACHI: The KSE-100 index dropped 168.34 points, bring the index to 13,894 points in Friday’s first trading session. The all-share, KSE-30 and KMI-30 indices dropped 114.7, 238.75, and 355.36 points respectively.
Traded volume stood at slightly over 75 million shares, with a value of Rs2.54 billion.
Volumes were significantly lower, with PTCL being the volume leader, with 7.18 million shares traded and a price decline of Rs0.35 per share. DG Khan Cement dropped Rs1.40 per share on over 6.7 million shares traded.
Byco Petroleum, Engro Foods, and Bank Islami gained Rs0.79, Rs1.20, and Rs0.70 with 5.27 million, 4.19 million, and 4.07 million shares traded respectively.
Pakistan Oil Fields dropped by Rs7.27 with slightly over 269,000 shares traded. Pakistan State Oil lost Rs5.60 per share with a traded volume of 0.58 million shares.
Engro Corp lost Rs4.24, with over 3.9 million shares traded.
Amongst the index heavyweights, Unilever Foods and Nestle Pakistan Ltd lost Rs115 and Rs50.82 respectively, albeit with negligible volumes. OGDCL lost Rs1.47 with slightly over 194,000 shares traded.
Overall, 83 symbols advanced, 192 declined, and 16 remained unchanged.
