Anonymous take down Indian government websites

KARACHI: In an apparent backlash to the Indian government's censorship of the internet, the Anonymous group has taken down the websites of the Supreme Court of India and the Indian Congress, some sections of the Indian media reported.

Anonymous tweeted saying that it was now India's time to bring in a new government.

"Namaste #India, your time has come to trash the current government and install a new one. Good luck. | #SaveTPB #Anonymous #Censorship".

The operation, which has been named "MT Operation India", is in reaction to the blocking of websites like Vimeo and PirateBay by the Indian government.
