KALAYA, May 15: Nine militants were killed when security forces pounded their hideouts in Mamozai area of Orakzai tribal region on Tuesday, sources said.

They said that security forces targeted militant positions with artillery shelling in Jan Bazi Kallay of Mamozai area. They said that nine militants were killed when a shell hit their bunker.

Three of the dead militants were residents of Parachina, Kurram Agency and the remaining six belonged to Mamozai area of Orakzai Agency, sources said. — Correspondent
