LAKKI MARWAT, May 15: Three police constables were dismissed from service for negligence of duty.Charges of negligence and absenteeism were proved against them by a departmental disciplinary action committee, said an official on Tuesday.

The official said the department had initiated disciplinary action against constables Humayun, Mohammad Ishaq and Ms Javaria for negligence in performance of professional obligations.

“Consequent upon the report of disciplinary action committee the District Police Officer Umar Riaz ordered their dismissal from service,” the official said.

MURDER CONDEMNED: Terming the murder of Maulana Syed Mohammad Mohsin Shah a big loss the JUI-F district amir Maulana Abdul Rahim has called upon the government to take measures for the security and safety of clerics and religious scholars.

Talking to reporters after party meeting in Eidgah on Tuesday, he said JUI would hold a protest demonstration on May 18 (Friday) in Lakki city to condemn the murder of Mohsin Shah who was also the head of Marwat Qaumi Jirga.  He said JUI-F office-bearers would also approach traders’ bodies to seek their support for observing shutter down strike on next Friday.

“The law enforcement agencies should probe the murder of cleric thoroughly and bring the killers to book”, the JUI district chief demanded. He also condemned the killing of Maulana Aslam Shaikhupuri and other religious scholars in different parts of the country.
