KSE-100 higher by 94.2 points in mid-day trade

KARACHI: The KSE-100 index rose by 94.2 points to reach 14608.16 points in mid-day trade. Traded volume was over 175 million shares, with a value of over Rs6 billion.

Alternatively, the All-share, KSE-30, and KMI-30 indices rose 69.21, 67.56, and 76.31 points respectively.

Volume leader for today is PTCL, with over 29.9 million shares traded at the time of publishing, registering a Rs0.47 increase in share price. Lotte PTA rose by Rs0.73, with over 21.9 million shares traded. DG Khan Cement rose by Rs0.32, with over 14 million shares traded.

Engro Corporation was one of today’s significant gainers, with its price rising by Rs5.66 on the back of 9.69 million shares traded. Telecard also held one of the top five mid-day volumes, with over 9.39 million traded and a Rs0.25 increase in share price.

Fauji Fertlizer was seen in the red zone, losing Rs0.77 with over 4 million shares traded.

While the index was in the green, the oil & gas sector was seen significantly lower.

Overall, 200 symbols advanced, 112 declined, and 23 remained unchanged at the time of publishing.
