Mardan by-pass road to open next month

PESHAWAR, May 6: Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti on Sunday said that eastern by-pass road in Mardan district costing Rs800 million would be completed in June/July this year that would provide an alternative way to motorists and people.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of projects of roads and a bridge, the chief minister said these projects would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs240 million that would accelerate the pace of development. The CM directed the officials to complete all these projects on time without compromising on quality.

The chief minister was told that Mayar road would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs25.5 million while Rs50 million would be spent on Mayar bridge. Beside Rs40 million would be spent on Toru bridge hospital road and Rs122.4 million on Khana Pul to Zor Mandi road.

MNA Hamayatullah Khan Mayar, MPA Ahmad Bahadur and others were also present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, the chief minister also announced upgradation of five girls high schools to higher secondary school in Mansehra district on non-developmental basis and approved new vacancies for each school.

The upgraded schools are government high school Tarpee, high school Phulra, high school Salabat, high school Thakra and high school Shergarh.—APP
