QUETTA: Additional Session judge - V Quetta on Friday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for 27 people, including provincial president of the Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) Shahzain Bugti, in the illegal arms possession case, DawnNews reported.

The warrants were issued for Bugti and his guards when they did not appear before the Supreme Court after the cancellation of their bail.

The guarantors were also served notices by the court.

On Dec 22, 2010, security forces had arrested Shahzain Bugti along with 26 of his personal guards and had recovered a huge quantity of illegal arms and ammunition when the JWP leader was driving with his convoy from the town of Chaman.
