Gilani chairs high level meeting over US ties

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani late on Wednesday chaired a high level meeting regarding new terms engagements with the US and the Nato, DawnNews reported.

Pakistan's Ambassador to US Sherry Rehman was specially called in for the meeting which was attended by Defence Minister Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar and Interior Minister Rehman Malik.

Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, DG ISI Lt-Gen Muhammad Zaheerul Islam and Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani were also present.

Matters relating to Afghan peace and reconciliation and new terms of engagement with US/Nato/Isaf in accordance with the recommendations of the parliament were discussed in the meeting.
