LAHORE, April 23: An additional district and sessions judge on Monday sought comments from the Lahore CCPO and summoned the Racecourse DSP on a petition challenging investigation into Sapna Khan kidnap-cum-alleged murder case.
Sapna’s father Missal Khan filed the petition, saying DSP Raza Safdar Kazmi was not doing a fair investigation and that he had not interrogated former chief minister Sardar Dost Muhammad Khosa so far. He said Kazmi was favouring Khosa due to his political influence.
The petitioner said investigation of the case should be withdrawn from Kazmi and entrusted to a senior police officer of the investigation wing in the light of a court order. The judge adjourned the case till April 24 (today).
Stage actress Sapna Khan is a former wife of Dost Khosa and missing since June 2011. Cases have been registered against Khosa and Missal Khan on charges of kidnapping Sapna. Missal Khan secured pre-arrest bail from a court of law. However, the minister had not bothered to obtain the bail so far nor police tried to arrest him.
