KARACHI, April 23: Princess Flavia, one of the flight attendants at the Bhoja Air plane that crashed in Rawalpindi on Friday evening, was laid to rest in the Christians’ Cemetery (Gora Qabristan) on Sharea Faisal on Monday afternoon.

Her funeral was earlier held at St Anthony’s Church, near the Cantonment Railway Station, where her relatives and friends had gathered to say their last farewells.

The 26-year-old flight attendant was very fond of flying and despite resistance by her brother and father who considered the profession risky she had joined the aviation after her graduation. Before joining Bhoja Air, she had worked for Shaheen Air.

Her body was brought home on a flight of Bhoja Air.

Only two days back, the body of another air hostess, Sanam Fareed, who with other crew members Flavia and Ghazala were killed in the crash, arrived from Islamabad to Karachi.

Speaking to Dawn on Saturday, her grief-stricken but angry sister, Tanya Fareed, had blamed the airline and the Civil Aviation Authority for the tragedy.
