ISLAMABAD: Speaking to reporters in Islamabad on Sunday, Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that Bhoja Air was issued a license to operate flights during the government of the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N), DawnNews reported.

Moreover, Malik said that Farooq Bhoja, the supposed owner of Bhoja Air, only holds five per cent shares of the airline while the rest of shares are owned by other stakeholders.

Malik further said that the names of possible suspects in the air crash case have been included in the Exit Control List (ECL).

The airline was first permitted to operate flights in Pakistan in 1992, he said.

Speaking about the probe into the causes of the tragic air crash, which led to all 127 on board being killed, Malik said that the plane’s ‘Black Box’ (flight recorder) has been found.

Furthermore, that sound recorder of the crashed plane has also been found, he added.

The Prime Minister has set a commission for investigating the issue, which will hopefully probe the matter in an impartial manner to bring the responsible to justice, he added.
