I WOULD like to draw the attention of the Governor of Sindh to an important issue. I had applied for the post of ‘Divisional Head Draftsman’ (BS-13), which was published by the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC).

The SPSC challenged my Diploma Certificate on the plea that the my Diploma Certificate did not match the required qualification of 18 months while I have passed DAE examination in Civil Technology with three years’ study in Civil Drafting as a compulsory subject.

I brought the matter to the knowledge of the Sindh Ombudsman, who favoured my request directing the SPSC to cancel the results of the interview held on June 16, 2009, and withdraw the recommendation, if already made, against the post of Divisional Head Draftsman and undertake the test and interviews afresh, on merit.

I have now come to know that the SPSC instead of implementing the orders passed by the Provincial Ombudsman has chosen to violate it  before the Appellate Authority (Governor Sindh). It has been more than two years since May 2010 that my case has been lying unattended in the Governor’s House for reasons best known to him.

Through these columns, I implore the governor to do justice to me.
