KSE witnesses bearish trading

KARACHI: The KSE-100 index has seen intense bearish activity today, with the index movement currently hovering around -150 points, and having reached its low of close to -200 points.

Total volume stood at 143,295,283 shares with a marked value of Rs3,342,779,689.

Major bearish trading was witnessed in the banking sector with MCB shares Rs7.20 on a trading volume of 1.03 million shares while HBL and UBL declined Rs3.11 each with volumes of 222,00 and 730,000 respectively.

Volume leaders till mid-day have been Dewan Cement with 12 million shares, Jahangir Siddiqui Co. with 10.33 million shares, and PTCL and Fauji Cement hovering around 9.5 million shares.
