KARACHI, April 14: Three-year-old bay colt Swell Victory is tipped to make amends should he win The Justice Cup in the Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.
After completing hat-trick under its regular rider M. Yousuf, Swell Victory was placed third in his last outing on March 25.Swell Victory is among nine contenders who are in the run for The Justice Cup in the class VI race to be run over five furlongs.
However, the colt should have to overcome challenger fillies Disappearing Act and Lolly For Dolly in the quest to land second cup of the season the first being Dr Essa Lab Cup.
Janab Sahab, a four-year-old bay colt, who has started delivering the goods after successive failures, is on course to make it two on the trot by capturing The Unity Cup in an earlier race.
Janab Sahab galloped to four-and-a-half lengths victory in the last run to open his account. Owned and trained by Sher Mohammad, he is expected to overcome opponents in the top division race of class VII to be gone over five furlongs.
Those who come in the reckoning to follow him for places are Royal Hero and Jungle De Malka.
With an impressive double hat-trick under his belt, seven-year-old bay horse Discreet Cat come is the pick of the seventh race, which is also days feature event, class IV and V div I and II, to be run over five furlongs.
