Pakistan appoints new High Commissioner to India

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Saturday formally announced the appointment of Salman Bashir as its new High Commissioner to India.

Foreign Office Spokesman Moazzam Ahmed Khan said the government has announced the appointment of former Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir as its new High Commissioner to New Delhi.

Bashir wil be replacing former High Commissioner Shahid Malik.

He had served as the country’s foreign secretary from 2008 to March this year.
