KARACHI: Karachi Electric Supply Company criticized Karachi Water and Sewerage Board, saying the present situation purely was a result of KWSBs one-sided default on paying its power bills.

A KESC statement said that after an overly prolonged show of patience and wait, it had finally stopped providing special status to the KW&SB and now it was being treated as all other customers.

KESC’s demand for the utility had just been to pay its long-standing dues.

KESC said if all other consumers could bear load shedding and disconnection on nonpayment, why not Karachi Water & Sewerage Board, which was the largest defaulter of power bills so far.

KESC urged the general public as well as media to identify the real culprit of the issue and press the KWSB authorities for clearing their longstanding arrears and pay their current power bills regularly instead of believing in any non-existing fight.
