FAISALABAD, Dec 8: The National Horse and Cattle Show will begin here from Monday (today).

The University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, has organized the show in collaboration with the Cattle Lovers Association (CLA) and the Riding Association, Faisalabad.

Cattle owners and progressive dairy farmers besides youth will participate in the show which will conclude on Dec 14.

During the six-day festival, tent pegging and horse dance will also be arranged in addition to a competition between the milch animals.

An exhibition will also be arranged in which feed manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies and veterinarians will set up stalls.

The Riding Association, Faisalabad, will make arrangements for holding tent pegging, horse dance and race from Dec 12 to 14. More than 500 horsemen will participate in the competition.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Agriculture, Prof Dr Riaz Husain Qureshi, will inaugurate the show while Governor Khalid Maqbool is expected to attend the prize distribution ceremony.—APP
