DERA GHAZI KHAN, April 10: The Punjab Goods Transport Association held a demonstration at Sangam Chowk here on Tuesday to protest against increasing incidents of highway robberies and kidnapping of drivers for ransom in the district.

The drivers of tankers and trucks parked their vehicles in middle of the crossing and threw traffic to Multan, Peshawer, Karachi and Quetta out of gear for over two hours. They demanded provision of safety on highways.

They dispersed after holding talks with the administration. —Correspondent
