ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Dr Asim Hussain on Friday said that Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) quota would be fixed on monthly basis for filling stations to address gas shortage issues.

Talking to Pakistan Television, he said that Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) is the concerning authority to maintain standard and check the quality of gas.

He said “We are working on Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG), which would be affordable for the consumers.”

“There is need to introduce other energy resources like bio-fuel, solar and wind energy in the country, “ he said.

Replying to a question he said that Qatar is the second largest gas producer in the world but the people are using LPG at domestic level.

He said that the government is taking all possible measures to provide relief to masses and for this, all available resources are being utilized to achieve the objectives.
