Six dead, 18 hurt in India’s bridge collapse

NEW DELHI: News reports say an under-construction bridge has collapsed in the hills of northern India, killing at least six people and injuring 18 others.

Press Trust of India reported that the bridge collapsed in the Pauri district of Uttarakhand state on Sunday morning. Most of those killed and injured were labourers working on the bridge, PTI said.

Few other details were immediately available.—AP
