LAHORE, March 22: The Lahore High Court on Thursday dismissed a writ petition seeking disqualification of PPP leader Babar Awan as senator.

Advocate Afaq Ahmad filed the petition and alleged that Awan contested election from Rawalpindi though he was not a resident ofthe city.

On court direction, Awan through his counsel submitted his national identification card showing him a resident of Rawalpindi. — Staff Reporter
