MIRPURKHAS, Dec 4: Hundreds of patients are compelled to visit private clinics for treatment due to non-availability of a qualified physician in the Mirpurkhas Civil Hospital.

The post of senior physician is lying vacant in the hospital for the last one and half years and junior doctors are running the medical ward as a result of which no proper treatment is being provided to patients.

Dr Balchand was sent to the civil hospital a few months ago and was adjusted against the vacant post of chest specialist but he was soon transferred to Mithi.

COLLEGE PROBLEMS: A group of students of the Ibne Rushd Girls College, Mirpurkhas, have complained administrative problems have risen in the college.

In a joint statement issued here on Wednesday, the students, Sajida, Fauzia, Samina and others, said admission fee for students was Rs400 but the college was collecting Rs425.

They regretted the science laboratory and the B.Sc computer laboratory were lying closed and the first year computer laboratory was without teaching staff.

They said only four Pentium-II computers were available for 1,000 first year students.
