HYDERABAD, March 20: Eulogising the services of late Prof Naseem Thebo in education and Sindhi literature, participants at a condolence meeting shared the moments they had spent with the lady when she was alive.
The late professor's literary contribution and her charming personality made working in the Department of Economics at the University of Sindh easy and pleasant, the faculty members said.
Prof Nasim Thebo, a short story writer, died at her Karachi residence on Sunday after protracted illness.
Department's Chairperson Prof Dr Marhab Qasmi said that she being a senior faculty member always helped her colleagues. “She remained an active part of our lives and a best colleague.”
Prof Thebo motivated the society for a change which would make her unforgettable for a very long time, Dr Qasmi said.
Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Parveen Shah also expressed grief on her death and praised her service to the cause of education.
“She was an excellent teacher, an inspiring short story writer, non-controversial person, and a silent contributor to Sindhi literature, she said.
Prof Naseem Thebo had contributed a number of short stories focusing on issues of common people.
