ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousuf Raza Gilani on Sunday sent out a request for no power load-shedding to take place during the Pakistan-India cricket match today, DawnNews reported.
A directive issued by the Prime Minister House stated that PM Gilani instructed the Ministry of Water and Power to ensure that there are no power outages during the Pak-India match so that the fans can continue watching without any disruptions.
However, the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) in return stated that the prime minister’s instructions do not apply for KESC and the company will continue to carry out load-shedding as per the daily schedule, even if that meant disappointment for cricket fans.
