Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is known for charging quite a bit for doing a gig or recording a song, and he deserves every single penny of it.

No singer in the subcontinent can measure up to his talent. And despite all the fame and moolah, he keeps his feet on the ground and doesn’t forget his benefactors. At least this is what we’ve come to know.

Rahat F.K. has recently recorded a song for a Mahesh Bhatt film titled Blood Money. For that the singer went to Dubai (since he couldn’t be in India at the time for some personal reasons), recorded the song and did not charge a single rupee. Why? Talking to an Indian newspaper, Rahat reasoned, “Bhatt sahib supported me and gave me an opportunity when nobody really knew me in the industry. Later, when I got embroiled in legal hassles, he was the only person to come forward and give me support.”
