Akbar Bugti committed suicide, claims Musharraf

Former President of Pakistan and current Chief of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) Pervez Musharraf claimed that Baloch leader Akbar Bugti was not killed but instead had committed suicide, DawnNews reported on Wednesday.

Musharraf said that he is not an ordinary person and he is not afraid of red-warrants.

Talking on the issue of Balochistan, the former military dictator said that Balochistan is not an enigmatic issue, there are few people destroying the peace of the province and they need to be dealt with firmly.

He further said that there is India's involvement in the province to destabilize peace in the country.

“The country was on the verge of disaster and then I introduced the 'real democracy',” he added.

The APML chief said that he would return to the country before the next general elections and the exact date of his arrival will be decided with the consultation of his party’s leadership.

On the other hand, Baloch nationalist leader Harbiyar Marri disregarded Musharraf’s claim and said that Musharraf now wants to escape after committing atrocities for ten years against the Baloch people.
