PESHAWAR, Dec 3: An anti-terrorism court on Tuesday granted interim pre-arrest bail to 18 tenants in a double murder case.
The applicants, Muzzafar Khan, Abdul Kareem and others, claimed that they were falsely implicated in the murder of two women as the landlord wanted to vacate a piece of land from their possession.
The court presided over by Akhter Zareef Khan fixed Dec 11 for deciding whether the bail should be confirmed or not.
The tenants and a policeman, Faqir Shah, were charged with attacking the residence of a landlord, Asad Ali. The complainant, Asad Ali, said that during the attack his wife Nishat Parveen and daughter Tahira Asad were killed. The complainant said that there was a land dispute between him and the accused and they had attacked his house to harass him.
The tenants said they were falsely implicated in the case.
