SWABI, Dec 3: NWFP Education Minister Maulana Fazal Ali said on Tuesday that the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal government will scrap the changes brought in the curriculum by the non-governmental organizations.
“The curriculum would be remolded for the primary classes according to the teachings of Islam. There would be no difference between the children of the rich and the poor,” the minister said and added that the MMA government would bring result-oriented changes in the education system.
Speaking at functions organized by his supporters to welcome the minister, Maulana Ali said the faults in the education system would be removed at all costs.
Reiterating the MMA’s resolve that there would be no co-education in the province, he said that the government had announced its policy in this regard. No one should be under any illusion about the MMA’s approach towards the co-education system, he said.
He urged the people to take interest in imparting education to their children and said that without proper education the dreams of progress and prosperity could never be materialized.
The government would try to come up to the expectations of the people and it would leave no stone unturned to bring about positive changes in the life of the people, the minister said.
The government would formulate a policy to remove the shortage of education facilities and provide sufficient number of teachers in the schools and colleges.
