LAHORE: Addressing the house at the Punjab Assembly, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday said that the Government of Punjab will not rest until Balochistan gets justice.
The chief minister rejected the APC called on Balochistan, calling it useless.
He further said that meaningful discussions were needed and said that he had recommended a committee on the Balochistan issue to be headed by the law minister.
Sharif added that the Balochistan Bill drafted in the US congress was at the discretion of the government of Pakistan and warned that if steps were not taken to resolve the Balochistan issue, then the situation of the province would end up being the same as Bangladesh.
He said it was time to wake up and raise voices for the rights of the Baloch.
Targeting the military rulers, the CM said that the Baloch had been subjected to oppression since the era of Ayub to Musharraf.
