National junior trials today

KARACHI, Dec 2: One-day trials to select Pakistan junior hockey team for next month’s International hockey tournament in Malaysia will be held at Pakistan Steel Township Astro Turf Tuesday at 11.30 A.M.

Three trial sessions of half hour will be conducted to finalize 18-member squad and six stand-byes. 45 boys attending the training camp will appear in the trials.

Trials will be watched by chief selector Akhtar Rasool, member of the selection committee Hasan Sardar and Salim Nazim. Team manager Col. (Retd) Abdur Rauf and coach Ayaz Mahmood will be the co-opted member of the selection committee.—PPI

After the selection, Pakistan junior team will also take part in the NBP League being held at Lahore from Dec 20-27.

International under-19 hockey will be held in Kualalumpur from Jan 5-12.—APP
