BUNER, 27: The district leadership of the ANP resolved the differences among party workers at a meeting held at Qisar Abad Swari on Monday.
The meeting was attended by MPAs Qisar Wali Khan, Said Rahim Khan, leaders from Buner Mian Syed Laiq Bacha, Haji Rouf Khan, Mohammad Karim Babak and Rahim Zada.
The meeting asked the angry workers to form committees comprising two members from each tehsil. Later, the committees held a meeting with a negotiation team and agreed upon resolving their differences in the larger party interests.
After the meeting the district general secretary Rahim Zada briefed media men that they had resolved all the differences, adding the second and conclusive round will be convened soon after the Senate elections. The negotiating team also confirmed that all the aggrieved workers had agreed to end their differences with the aim of strengthening the party for fighting against the arch political rivals in the upcoming general elections.
RESUMES CHARGE: The young politician Mohammad Nisar Khan of Karapa took charge as chairman district zakat committee at a function held at zakat office in Daggar on Monday.
The ANP district president Mohammad Karim Babak presided over the function, which was attended among others by MNA Istiqbal Khan, Mian Syed Laiq Bacha, Haji Rouf Khan, Rahim Zada, Zareen Khan and Shams Buneri.
Speaking on the occasion Mohammad Nisar Khan assured the party leaders of fair dealing and transparent utilisation of the zakat funds among the deserving people.
FUND FOR BAR: The MNA and former state minister Istiqbal Khan on Monday visited the district bar room Dagar and spent time with the members to remember the days when his late father, many times elected MNA Abdul Mateen Khan, was president of the bar.
The bar members unanimously named the newly constructed hall as Abdul Mateen Khan advocate hall in response to his services to the bar.
CRITICISED: The grand son of Bacha Khan and leader of PTI Saleem Jan Khan has accused the ANP leadership of misusing the name of Bacha Khan and asked the Pakhtuns not to vote for ANP in future.
Addressing public meetings at villages Sora, Anghapoor and Jowar, he criticised his family for gaining bad name to great Khudai Khidmatgar Bacha Khan. He elaborated that the great Bacah Khan had sacrificed his life for protecting rights of the innocent Pakhtuns, but the Wali Khan family especially Asfandyar Wali Khan had misused the great name for earning dollars.
