TAXILA, Feb 24: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Ch Nisar Ali Khan on Friday said the corruption and incompetence would cost Pakistan People's Party heavily in the next elections.
“The PPP will face worst defeat in the elections,” he said confidently.
Addressing a public meeting at Mohra Shah Wali Shah organised by local former UC Nazim Sardar Riaz Hussain Shah, Chaudhry Nisar said if the government wanted to strengthen the democracy it should give priority to the people’s problems and uphold the Constitution and rule of law.
He said that over the past four years, the government had only sought protection for its leaders and personalities. He said that if the rulers managed to escape the court's accountability, the people would not spare them in the next elections.
He made it clear that the PML-N would not support any undemocratic step as destiny of this country was linked to the democracy.
Nisar said with the passage of time Tehreek-e-Insaf would learn ‘what the politics is all about'. "Soon everyone will know that Imran Khan's revolution is a mere bubble,” he maintained. — Correspondent
