ISLAMABAD, Dec 1: Shahi Imam of Delhi’s Jamma Masjid, Maulana Syed Ahmed Bukhari, has said that Gujarat election would prove decisive for the Indian nation’s future.

According to Indian media reports Imam Bokhari appealed to the voters in Gujarat to wipe out those responsible for the violence there.

“This election would decide the future of the country. It is to be decided whether law would prevail... or the followers of lawlessness and suppressor of the Constitution would rule,” Bukhari said.

“If the peace and justice loving people are ashamed of genocide and inhuman behaviour with Muslims...[they] should express their shame by wiping out such elements,” he added.

Blaming the Sangh Parivar for the recent riots in the state, he said, “the riots were not sudden but the Sangh Parivar had hatched the conspiracy earlier with the rioters being given training and rewards.”

An inquiry conducted to find out the facts on Gujarat violence, disclosed that genocide of the Muslim population was masterminded by Gujarat Chief Minister, Narinder Modi, with a clear objective of repeating the experiments in other states to capitalize anti-Muslim sentiments. In Gujarat alone over 3,000 Muslims were killed and thousands made homeless, their houses burnt, property destroyed and warned not to return home.—APP
