HYDERABAD, Nov 18: A leading NGO of Tharparkar district, Baanhn Beli has lunched a development project in taluka Nagarparkar with the name of Nagar Nagri project.

According to Baanh Beli director Younus Bandhani, the project will cover 20 villages of Nagarparkar taluka and will sustain and renew village girls’ elementary education, provide female and child health care services and build organizational and leadership capacity of female and male members of village organizations.

He said the project was aimed at consolidating the development process initiated by Baanhn Beli in the area over 16 years ago.

Presently, the NGO was actively represented in about 200 villages and settlements throughout Tharparkar arid region benefiting about 200,000 people, Bandhani claimed.

The launching of Nagar Nagri project took place on November 14 in Nagarparkar at a meeting of the executive committee of Baanhn Beli presided over by its founding president, Javed Jabbar. Members from throughout Sindh and different parts of Tharparkar participated in the meeting.
